ARRINGTON HICKERSON

Arrington Hickerson b. ca. 1811, in IN or OH. The 1880 census says he was b. in OH. He d. ca. 1874 in Pittsfield, Pike Co., IL. Married Martha Robinson Ellington Aug. 1835, in Madison Co., Ky. Martha  Ellington b. Jan 3, 1815, NC. and d. April 22, 1901, in Wray, Yuma Co., CO. They had 11 children:       

   1.  Francis Hickerson b. ca. 1838, in Madison Co., KY.  (There was a Francis Hickerson who m. a Nathan L/S Hancock in 1855 in Adams Co., IL--ljdt)

   2.  Susan A. M. Hickerson b. ca. 1840, in Richmond, Madison Co., KY.  Married John Cox Nov. 5, 1863, in Adams Co., IL.  The 1880 census of Pike Co., IL said they had three children at that time.

    3.  Samuel Hickerson b. ca. 1840, in Madison Co, KY.

    4.  Paschal Tucker Hickerson b. Sep. 6, 1842, in Madison Co.,KY, d. March 8, 1915, in Milford Seward Co., NE.  Buried In Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford, Seward Co., NE. Married (1st.) Susan Eliza Hudson. (2nd.) Martha Applegate Sep. 6, 1866 in IL.

    5.  John Hickerson b. ca. 1846, in Madison Co., KY.

    6.  Elvira Hickerson b. Aug 12, 1848, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY d. Apr. 10, 1925, in Wray, Yuma Co, CO.  She is buried in Grandview Cemetery, Wray, Yuma Co., CO. Married Jacob Cox b. Aug. 7, 1842, in Dodsville, Highland Co., OH. d. Aug 17, 1917, in Wray, Yuma Co, CO. Buried in Grandview Cemetery, Wray Yuma CO,.  Jacob's father was David Cox b. ca. 1810 in NJ, d. ca. 1875 in IL. His mother was Rachel Brown b. ca. 1820, in OH. d ca. 1875 in IL.

     7.  William Ellington Hickerson b. 1849, KY, m. Louise Lovett.

     8.  Caroline Hickerson b May 10, 1853, in KY, d. Sep. 25, 1920, in Milford, Seward Co., NE. Buried in Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford, Seward Co., NE, m. Sep. 16, 1879, in Pike Co, IL.  Samuel B. Cox b. Aug 26,1843, in Dodsville, Highland Co., OH. d. ca. Jun 20,1923, in Milford, Seward Co., NE. Buried in Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford Seward Co., NE.

     9. Thomas Arrington Hickerson b. 1859, in KY.
